Love isn’t always in the air among the coaches of "The Voice" season 12, and no, this is not the usual love-hate relationship of the famous bro-mance of Blake Shelton and Adam Levine, but Gwen Stefani and the "Sangria" singer.
According to Hollywood Life, the real life couple Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton had a little bit of a bitter moment when one talented contestant on the show chose Stefani over Shelton as their coach. The other coaches, however, did not pass on the opportunity to annoy the country singer.
Stefani goes to Shelton and says “I am literally having a euphoric feeling in my body right now.”
“Why? ‘cause you beat me?” he asked as Stefani laughs and smiles about her triumph. “The truth is, she should be on my team,” Stefani said. “That is not the truth!” exclaimed Shelton. Adam Levine wouldn’t stop teasing Shelton about his country accent and sayings while Alicia Keys just laughed and smiled along with her fellow coaches.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, six new artists performed for the coaches. Ashley Levin was the first to audtion. With her great tone, she managed to make Stefani, Shelton and Keys to turn.
Levine convinced her to pick Keys, she picks Shelton and Levine goes on to comment that her decision was “Boring!”
Next up was Brandon Royal with an impressive performance, which led to Shelton and Stefani wooing the contestant. In the end, Royal picked Stefani as his coach.
The next performer, Adam Pierce, did not manage to turn any chairs although was encouraged to work hard and try again.
The next one to audition was Julien Martinez, who managed to make Shelton and Adam turn with his bold last note, and landed a spot in Team Adam.
Stefani and Keys went head-to- head with 13 year old Quizz Swanigan, but no hard feeling when he chose to join Team Alicia.
The last artist to audition tonight was Casi Joy, who was the only one to make all four coaches turn that night. With her obviously strong country performance, she went on to join Team Blake.
"The Voice" season 12 stars Blake Shelton, Gwen Stefani, Alicia Keys and Adam Levine. The hit TV series airs every Monday night on NBC.
