Andrew Bogut had to end his debut with Cavaliers on Monday night, March 6 against Miami Heat unexpectedly. Within just one minute, he must sit out due to fracture tibia in his left knee.
Bogut entered the court in the second quarter and within the first minute of his debut for Cleveland Cavaliers, Bogut injured his left knee. He was brought out of the game and the MRI result showed he suffered a fractured in his tibia, or a shankbone in his left knee, Cleveleand reported.
Miami Heat defeated Cleveland 106-98 at Quicken Loans Arena, Cleveland and handed the Cavaliers its second consecutive loss. The loss game became worse and harder to accept because of the Bogut's sudden and unexpected injury. LeBron James said after the game that he knew that Bogut had a fractured when he collided with Miami Heat forward Okaro White, "I heard it break. As soon as the collision happened."
Regardless of Bogut's injury, it does not mean anything to the Cavaliers race in the playoffs, FOX Sports reported. Cavaliers is still the number one seed for the playoffs in the Eastern Conference. However Bogut's injury may threaten the team's pursuit for the NBA Finals.
Cavaliers is currently 42-20, but Boston Celtics is closely behind with 40-24. The injury of Bogut will decrease the depth of the team, but that will not change much the team's competence and determination to reach the 2017 NBA Finals.
Moreover, coach Tyronn Lue has shown his brilliant strategy in managing the team and distributing the responsibilities among the players. He is one of the coach that has capability to contain the ego of star player like LeBron James, which makes James respects him.
