Joe Blackmore, a student in the Arnold Hill Academy in Nottinghamshire, is set to appear in the Foreigner, Jackie Chan's upcoming film with Pierce Brosnan, according to Nottingham Post.
The movie, which is based on a novel written by Stephen Leather, depicts a Chinese restaurant owner broken after an attack by the Irish terrorists. The movie also stars Harry Potter star, Katie Leung.
Blackmore said that he would make a brief appearance as a casualty in one of Jackie Chan's fight scenes. The 11-year-old added that it was hard to keep still as the camera was focused on his face, so he bit his tongue to avoid laughing in that scene.
Blackmore's other projects include a modeling stint in Puma, Lyle & Scott, and the Arsenal Football Club. The budding actor is also set to appear with Jude Law in 'Knights of the Roundtable: King Arthur,' an upcoming film directed by Guy Ritchie.
"I like modeling but I prefer being in films," said Blackmore, who explained that modeling often requires taking hundreds of photos that look the same.
The child actor aspires to be an A-list actor in the future although he would also want to value privacy at the same time. Blackmore said that he will probably wear a hood and even wear a mask as a disguise when he goes to public places.
Bev Anderson, Blackmore's mother, fully supports her son's aspirations and is impressed with her son's growing popularity.
Even though Blackmore's career in the entertainment and modeling industry is slowly rising, he still has time to attend to his classes. In the beginning of secondary school, Blackmore was given ten days off by the school to go attend to his film and modeling obligations.
