Bollywood actress Dia Mirza appeared in the fifth episode of India's first ever horror web series 'Shockers'.
The episode, titled 'The Good Wife,' is about the presence of a supernatural power in title character's house. The title character is played by Mirza, who is excited to be part of web series.
"As an actor it is exciting to be a part of different mediums of storytelling. Short films as a format are exciting since they convey a lot in a limited period of time. Samaira's (the character) story, could be anyone's experience," the actress said in a statement. "It is real and extraordinary. I enjoyed shooting for this in one night with Faruk Kabir who as a director is pushing the envelope of spookiness."
The movie, which is directed by Faruk Kabir, is available on Hotstar. Watch it here.
Dia Mirza, former Miss Asia Pacific and Miss India, has appeared in hit Bollywood movies like 'Rehna Hai Tere Dil Mien,' 'Tumko Naa Bhool Payenge,' 'Dus,' and 'Lage Raho Munna Bhai.'
The 34-year-old actress will be next seen in an Indo-Iranian production 'Salaam Mumbai.' Directed by Ghorban Mohammadpour, the romance flick features Iranian superstar Mohammad Reza Golzar in the lead role. Mirza recently said she was very fortunate to work with Golzar.
"It is the first time that India and Iran together have made a film. I feel very fortunate because the person with whom I'm working is the biggest superstar (Mohammad Reza Golzar) in Iran," Mirza said recently. "People love him tremendously and hence Iranian people are also showering love on me via my social networking sites."
