Red Velvet's Joy and Lee Hyun Woo are all set to make our hearts flutter in "The Liar and His Lover." In fact, the two assured fans of their onscreen chemistry in the newest tvN drama.
During a press conference, Joy admitted she used to be shy around Lee Hyun Woo when they first met for the pre-production of "The Liar and His Lover." Luckily, the Red Velvet member was paired with a considerate actor who never fails to look after her.
"When we had our first script run through, I had a hard time looking Lee Hyun Woo in the eye because I was shy. But he treated me warmly, and helped me really get into character. That's why I think our chemistry is off the charts," she said as per Soompi.
On the other hand, Lee Hyun Woo has nothing but compliments on his "The Liar and His Lover" leading lady. The 23-year-old actor said the first thing he noticed about Joy was her cuteness.
Although they had to go through an awkward phase in the early stage of the project, Lee Hyun Woo is just happy with how things are going for him and Joy.
"I could feel the trust in Joy's eyes when she looked at me while filming. Though I was nervous on set, I found myself getting lost in her eyes," he added.
When they were asked to rate their onscreen chemistry, Joy and Lee Hyun Woo confidently gave themselves the perfect rating.
Meanwhile, their co-actor Lee Jung Jin hinted at the sweetness of the two in "The Liar and His Lover." He even asked Lee Hyun Woo if he is seeing Joy in real life.
"I think there's going to be a dating rumor about these two by the end of the drama. That's how good their chemistry is," the actor stated.
On Tuesday, tvN teased the fans with a preview of the first episode of "The Liar and His Lover." Allkpop cited the 6-minuter video showed some of the highlights from the drama's pilot episode.
The upcoming drama series is an adaptation of a Japanese manga that centers on the life to Yoon So Rim, an aspiring singer who will fall in love with Kang Han Kyeol.
"The Liar and His Lover" takes over the time slot of "Introverted Boss" at 10:00 p.m. starting Mar. 20.
