BLACKPINK his confirmed to visit a number of university campuses as part of their comeback plans in spring.
A source affiliated with YG Entertainment said the rookie girl group will start their campus visit in May as cited by Soompi. BLACKPINK is also set to stage their first outdoor performance which is part of their comeback promotion.
Since they debuted in August, the girl group has been receiving much love from their local and foreign fans. Just recently, BLACKPINK's Lisa was welcomed by hundreds of fans at an airport in Thailand where she spent the holiday.
Koreaboo cited a larger number of fans flocked the airport when the idol had to leave her hometown to return to Korea. Hence, Lisa did not disappoint her fans as she mingled with them before she boarded her plane.
Not only that, the four-member band is also considered one of the most in demand K-pop girl groups as of yet. In fact, the BLACKPINK members have already promoted quite a number of brands in less than a year.
Their songs "BOOMBAYAH," "WHISTLE," "STAY" and "PLAY WITH FIRE" were also a massive hit. In February, BLACKPINK mustered 2 million subscribers on their YouTube channel.
Meanwhile, the official music video of "BOOMBAYAH" has surpassed 1 million likes in the same month, making them the first K-pop girl group to reach the milestone in just five months.
Although YG Entertainment hinted at BLACKPINK's upcoming comeback this spring, the label has yet to release more details of the highly anticipated return. Nevertheless, BLINKS are more than ready for a new release in the upcoming months.
"Please I need them, I want see them, I miss them. Please YG make it better for your management," a fan wrote. Another one commented, "Comeback first before university festival visits. Please YG, I need more [BLACKPINK] music."
