With "Quantico" Season 2, episode 14, the powers-to-be have thrown Clay as a twist for the audience apart from switching to a single timeline. Hunter Parrish has been roped in to play the role of Clay, brother of Caleb.

TV Guide spoke with "Quantico" boss about the second Haas brother. Joshua Safran said that in the pilot script, Caleb told Shelby and Simon that his brother and sister have done better than him at Quantico. They shot the scene but had to cut that for time. Even though the scene did not make it, they had Clay and Cassandra in their mind.
Last, Cassandra was mentioned in instalment 9 from 2016, but they did not talk about as they wanted him to be a secret for the fans.
Safran revealed that they wanted to reveal Clay in "Quantico" Season 1, but had to wait as Parrish wasn't free.
"The theme this year is sometimes you have to do bad to do good, and that's going to be really hard for Clay. It was hard for Alex at the beginning, but she figured out her way through it, and it's going to be hard for Clay in the back half. ... It's been so much fun to write that character because he's the older brother, he's a little buttoned-up, he's more rigid. He's based on a more buttoned-up version of Jon Favreau -- the speechwriter, not the filmmaker -- and we just had a lot of fun with that character and Hunter had a lot of fun playing him," Safran said about the struggles of Clay.
