GOT7's Jackson is officially resuming his activities after sitting on promotions in the past couple of days due to his health condition, JYP Entertainment confirms.
According to Allkpop, Jackson returned to his regular schedule on March 25. Jackson was unable to join the rest of GOT7 for two weeks as he recovered. JYP Entertainment also apologized for Jackson's absence and thanked fans for showing their support. The agency also assured fans that they will always put their artist's health before their activities.
GOT7's Jackson first showed signs of sickness during GOT7 meet and greet on March 11. A Taiwanese news outlet noted that the singer was coughing on stage and was looking pale. He also reportedly collapsed during a fan meeting and vomited on stage before he was taken to the hospital. JYP Entertainment later confirmed that Jackson's health issues had worsened and needed to rest to fully recover.
Recently, members of GOT7 revealed the reason for Jackson's absence, saying that his health issue is caused by stressed and anemia. Koreaboo reported that the members of GOT7 revealed this during a behind-the-scenes segment of the March 24 broadcast of Mnet's "M! Countdown."
GOT7 has been promoting their new song "Never Ever," which is the title track of their latest album "Flight Log: Arrival." Since the group's comeback, Jackson has not joined any of the performances and appearances after falling ill.
GOT7's "Flight Log: Arrival" album debuted at no. 1 on Billboard's World Albums chart. The group sold 3,000 copies on the first week of the album's release. "Arrival" now holds the record for the best sales week for GOT7 in America, breaking the record previously held by "Flight Log: Departure."
