Rihanna seems to be having a great year, as she continues to be honored by different schools including Harvard University. The "Bates Motel" guest star is going to be honored by another school a few months from now.
According to Vanity Fair, Rihanna, who has been honored by Harvard University last month will be honored at the upcoming 69th annual Parsons School of Design Benefit in May. The "Love The Way You Lie" hitmaker will be acknowledged for her philanthropic efforts and design works.
Rihanna Honored For Her Works
Rihanna will be honored by Parsons School together with Neiman Marcus and Eileen Fisher at the said ceremony. The "Take A Bow" hitmaker admits that she is thrilled to know that a design school will be acknowledging her for her works.
“Parsons is proud to present Rihanna with this honor, as she has inspired millions through her powerful music and distinct style,” Tower says. “She has championed our recent alumni on a number of occasions by wearing their designs. She is also creating important philanthropic programs, which support communities by fostering effective education, health, and emergency response programs around the world through her Clara Lionel Foundation.”
Rihanna states that she always find creative ideas from the alumni of Parsons most of the time. She says she is grateful for the recognition she receives from the school.
There is no doubt that she has been working so hard this year, as she is also guest starring in the "Bates Motel" episode. 9TheFIX reported that she will be stabbed by a psycho to death as she takes her shower. She can be watched at the show's season 5, episode 6.
Rihanna was also honored at the Harvard University in February as the "Humanitarian of the Year."
