The news on the upcoming "Outlander" season 3 has been quite kept under the light especially since filming has already begun. Nevertheless, there is still much that is to anticipate for in Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe's new season.

There has been a report featured on the country's local paper that shows stars went to some tourist spots in South Afirca.
Carter Matt also reported that filming in foreign lands could do well for both the production team, and the tourism of the said place. It could increase the audience of the show, garnering more traffic when the new season airs and for audience in different countries, they could be drawn to the place that is used for filming the scenes.
In addition to this, the author of the series Diana Gabaldon is heading off to South Africa as well, and to be personally there where the filming is taking place. The production has already wrapped up filming in Scotland, and is now currently filming in South Africa. Gabaldon has initially thought of this as only a figment of her imagination and is now able to see it being portrayed in action for the rest of the world to see. The upcoming third season of the show will follow Sam Heughan's Jamie and Caitriona Balfe's Claire living their lives in separation from each other, continuing where they left off from the previous season's finale.
