'Spider-Man' game exclusively comes to PlayStation 4 this year; Plot totally different from the movie

An all-new Spider-Man experience from Marvel and Insomniac Games is coming out this year to PS4.

Spider-Man fanatics and PlayStation 4 owners will have the best time of their gaming lives as Insomniac Games, Sony, and Marvel Entertainment collaborate to bring the web-slinging superhero to the gaming consoles. Marvel Digital Media vice president and executive editor confirmed the action-packed game's release this year.

It was during the E3 2016 that Insomniac's Spider-Man PS4 game title was unveiled. However, Marvel and Sony did not yet disclose the official date the game's release, according to GameSpot.

The "Spider-Man" PS4 game designates players as the exemplary superhero in a totally original plot. It happens during the time when Peter Parker is accomplished and more skilled in crime-fighting in New York.

As mentioned in the game's description, "From traversing with parkour and utilizing the environment, to new combat and blockbuster set pieces, it's Spider-Man unlike any you've played before."

It was Marvel Digital Media Vice President & Executive Editor, Ryan Penagos who verified the coming of "Spider-Man" game to the PS4 this year from Insomniac Games. He said," "there's even more on the horizon [from Marvel Games] for 2017, like Spider-Man coming to PlayStation 4 and Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite coming to Xbox One, PS4, windows, PC."

Gamezone reported that Insomniac is recognized for the Ratchet and Clank series with the Spider-Man game as its initial endeavor on a licensed game. PlayStation 4 gamers could expect that the game itself is totally different from the upcoming movie, "Spider-Man: Homecoming."

Although Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios have collaborated for the forthcoming "Spider-Man: Homecoming" movie slated for July release in cinemas, the game has nothing to do with the movie. However, it is without a doubt that Insomniac Games will benefit from the movie's release.

Last year, Marvel's vice president of games, Jay Ong mentioned that tie-ins are no longer effective when studios undertake to make well-developed games. With the struggle to accelerate development to acquiesce with the "Spider-Man: Homecoming" movie release was unfavorable to the accomplishment and total distinction of the "Spider-Man" PlayStation 4 game.
