South Korean actress Uhm Hyun Kyung shared how co-host Yoo Jae Suk’s warm personality had always amazed her in the recent episode of KBS’ “Happy Together”.
Uhm admitted that she was touched of how Yoo still managed to remember people no matter how long their last encounter had been. She added that she is very pleased and thankful to be working with him at the present.
According to the 30-year-old star as quoted by Soompi: “Before I went on ‘Happy Together,’ I saw Yoo Jae Suk at a salon. I went to say hello to him, and he asked me, ‘Are you still nervous? You’re not doing variety?… That gave me goose bumps.”
She continued: “I thought to myself that he is a really great person. I was astonished that he could remember me from ten years ago, and I was really touched by it. It’s amazing that I’m now working together with such a person after all this time… He remembers all of his juniors, he’s always upstanding, and he’s a great person.”
Meanwhile, in an interview for her recently finished TV drama series “Defendant”, Uhm had also revealed that Yoo and her other “Happy Together” co-hosts Park Myung Soo, Jun Hyun Moo, and Jo Se Ho had always treated her like a younger sister. In fact, she even acknowledged that they are among the reasons for her success.
Uhm described Park’s personality to be like a tsundere, a Japanese term which describes the nature of an anime character who initially treats other people in a cold manner but eventually opens up their warm side as time goes by. She added that she became emotional after Park praised her performance in “Defendant”.
The Hallyu star also shared that Yoo would always advise her to find a man who does not only possess a handsome face but a warm heart as well. She added as quoted by All KPop: “From now on, since I'm older and such, I want to pay attention to [a guy's] heart rather than his face."
