Marvel's "Inhumans" released its official synopsis and eight episodes for its first season are reportedly in order. The series focuses on a group of Inhumans who will have to blend with other earthlings in Hawaii.

The series will explore the adventures of the Royal Family away from their moon-based city of Attilan. Members of the Inhumans Royal Family will reportedly find themselves on Earth after being thwarted by a military coup, Spoiler TV reported.

"Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." has reportedly hinted a possible connection with the upcoming series. However, it is not yet clear whether or not the two series will have the same timeline or whether or not references alluding to each other will be made. What is clear though, it that "Inhumans" will form part of the massive Marvel Cinematic Universe.

For the uninitiated, Inhumans in the comic books went to form a society of their own and thrived in seclusion in their moon-based home, Attilan. Unlike what was shown in Season 2 of "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D," Attilans follow a rigid caste system that depends on the abilities gained after exposure to the Terrigen Mist, Screen Rant reported.

The fictional race was first introduced in the second season of Marvel's "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." The Inhumans history with the Kree has been briefly discussed in "AoS" Season 3 upon the introduction of Hive.

Elsewhere, Marvel is also developing a television series for "Runaways," "Cloak & Dagger" and "New Warriors." Netflix is also set to debut later this year "The Defender" and "The Punisher" as additions to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

"Inhumans" cast include Iwan Rheon as Maximus the Mad, Anson Mount as Black Bolt, Serinda Swan as Medusa, Ken Leung as Karnak, Eme Ikwuakor as Gorgon, Isabelle Cornish as Crystal, Sonya Balmores as Auran, and Mike Moh as Triton. Actress Ellen Woglom has also been confirmed to play a mystery character alongside Lockjaw.

"Inhumans" will be screened in IMAX theaters for two weeks starting on Sept. 1 before its debut on Sept. 26 on ABC. Watch the clip below for more information:
