It has been years since Katie Holmes, who was Tom Cruise's ex-wife was rumored to be dating actor Jamie Foxx. Just recently were they photographed together, finally almost confirming the speculated relationship between the two.
It can be recalled that "Dawson's Creek" actress Katie Holmes was married to one of the country's most bankable action stars, Tom Cruise. After having been in an unhappy marriage, the couple were officially divorced in July 2012. Reports have been making rounds that she has been dating Jamie Foxx, however, the two have not confirmed nor denied the relationship reports.
Several reports have claimed that during filing for the divorce, Holmes wanted out of the marriage so badly that she agreed on a divorce settlement, disallowing her from doing some of the things stated on there. According to News, the settlement includes Holmes not being allowed to officially date anyone within five years of the divorce. Aside from this clause, she was also not allowed to say anything to embarrass ex-husband Tom Cruise, or talk about the latter's chosen "religion," which is Scientology.
Since Holmes was so unhappy with the marriage, she opted to agree on the clauses being defined by the divorce settlement. Thus, even though the actress has been rumored to be dating actor Jamie Foxx since 2013, they were never photographed in public together, nor even confirmed the relationship. As a matter of fact, the only one to ever confirm their relationship was actress Claudia Jordan. She revealed in an interview last year how much she has observed about how happy Foxx is with Holmes. However, Daily Mail reported that Jordan took back her statement and then said that she was in no place to confirm anything about someone else's relationship. "I don't have the knowledge of this being fact, I don't. I misspoke," was what she said.
Since it has been five years already since the divorce in 2012, Katie Holmes may already be allowed to date anyone in public, thus having had a dinner date with Jamie Foxx just earlier this week. They were photographed by a reporter from a different gossip site, thus having been able to officially publicize themselves together.
