Despite how Ian Somerhalder and wife Nikki Reed has assured the public that they are in good terms with the former's ex-girlfriend, Nina Dobrev, the fans never stopped bombarding the couple with divorce rumors. Now, Reed is reportedly jealous of how her husband is still good friends with Dobrev.
It can be recalled that the fans of Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev got a taste of what they dreamed to happen for years. This occurred when during the series finale of "The Vampire Diaries," both their characters finally found their way into each other's arms. Based on the finale, their characters as Damon and Elena respectively made to the end of their relationship and got to spend forever with each other. Behind the cameras, they have said goodbye to their romance so long ago as Somerhalder is already married to one of the recurring stars of the same show, Nikki Reed.
Now, contrary to fans beliefs, the former couple and the actor's new wife are in good terms, as reported by Poor Primadonna. The three actors even posted a photo of them having dinner together, in the hopes that it will quiet down divorce rumors against Reed and Somerhalder allegedly caused by Dobrev.
Although Somerhalder has put an end to those malicious rumors, fans can't seep to get enough of the fact that he and Dobrev had broken up, according to Blasting News. However, reports have also claimed that ever since Somerhalder and Dobrev broke up a few years back, the latter has gotten lesser offers and projects in the industry. It has been noted that his team-up with Dobrev has indeed bloomed their careers and having grown apart may have caused a set back in his career.
Dobrev has found a way to venture out into the blockbuster world when she left "The Vampire Diaries," which was a decision she made for her career. Now, there is not much known for Somerhalder and his upcoming projects now that the CW series has come to an end.
