It truly was a happy birthday for Charmaine Sheh on Saturday, May 28 as the actress launched her agency. She said the agency was her birthday present to herself.
The gorgeous Hong Kong actress announced the exciting news on social media. Charmaine described the agency named the Charmaine Sheh Workshop Limited as "The biggest present to self in 2016!
According to JayneStars, Charmaine chose to announce her new venture on her 41st birthday. She took to Facebook to post a video announcing her studio and why she decided to pursue the project.
"The world in my eyes is actually very simple," she said. "I like freedom. I want to do what I want to do. This moment is a new beginning, a beginning that I really look forward to starting."
According to the award-winning actress, she chose to open Charmaine Sheh Workshop Limited so she can control her life. Charmaine said that she wants to be able to choose which jobs she would participate in.
"I want to be happy every day. This studio is my biggest present to myself," the Line Walker star revealed.
Charmaine is just one of the veteran actresses who has decided to leave the TVB network. Her contract with TVB ended in February 2016. While there were rumors that her contract was extended, nothing came out of it.
Several networks are reportedly interested in signing Charmaine, but the actress has decided to open her agency in the hopes of making a name for herself and expanding her career in China.
