Park Bo Young and Park Hyung Sik are currently two of the hottest actors in Korea following the success of "Strong Woman Do Bong Soon" which completed its 16-episode run yesterday, April 15.
In fact, the onscreen couple topped the brand value ranking for the month of April as per latest figures released by Korea Institute of Corporate Reputation. According to Allkpop, Park Bo Young placed first with 5,859,953, while her leading man, Park Hyung Sik, had a total of 4,034,210 from March 14 to April 15.
The two gained much attention after playing the roles of Do Bong Soon and Ahn Min Hyuk in the JTBC series. Since it started airing in February, the romcom drama has been breaking records for its popularity.
Aside from its thrilling storyline that revolves around Do Bong Soon's quest to catch the culprit responsible for a series of kidnapping incidents in the district where she resides, Park Bo Young's onscreen romance with Park Hyung Sik can also be credited for the success of "Strong Woman Do Bong Soon."
After she got hired as Ahn Min Hyuk's personal bodyguard, the woman with supernatural strength slowly developed her feelings towards her boss who was more vocal of his feelings.
Similarly, the two characters became official and have been making the hearts of the viewers flutter. Park Bo Young and Park Hyung Sik's romance continued until the very end of "Strong Woman Do Bong Soon."
"You know what's different about a soulmate? I can see myself in that person's eyes and I look so, so happy," Do Bong Soon stated in the finale as per Soompi. Ahn Min Hyuk, on the other hand, said, "I feel like I need [Do Bong Soon] in order to be me and like I would cease to exist if she wasn't with me."
