More than the idea of making a quick comeback on television after "Hwarang," Park Seo Joon has some personal reasons why he accepted the lead role for the upcoming KBS drama "Fight My Way."
The 28-year-old actor will play the role of Go Dong Nam for the romance drama. His character is described as an optimistic athlete who used to be famous for his taekwondo skills.
Park Seo Joon's role is expected to teach the viewers the virtue of positivity despite the adversities of life. "Dong Man is a character who does not live at other people's standards but rather lives by his own values," he said as per Soompi.
He continued, "He owns the life he was given and lives it to the fullest. Even in the ring, he chooses to use standard tactics only because of his truthful and proper mental attitude. He fights his way past difficult obstacles in an optimistic way."
The actor admitted that these qualities have made him decide to take part in "Fight My Way" in hopes to deliver an important message to the youth. Park Seo Joon will share the small screen with Kim Ji Won who will act as Choi Ae Ra.
"Fight My Way" will center on the lives of these two lead stars whose relationship will bloom from friends to lovers. Both of them will be joined by Ahn Jae Hong and Song Ha Yoon as Kim Joo Man and Baek Seol Hee, respectively.
According to Allkpop, the upcoming drama held its first script reading earlier this month wherein Park Seo Joon and Kim Ji Won instantly clicked. Similarly, series recently released a still cut from the series as well as a teaser video.
Park Seo Joon's "Fight My Way" will take over the Monday-Tuesday timeslot of KBS starting May.
