Like many Korean celebrities, "Goblin" actor Gong Yoo has been the subject of many fake accounts on social media. He has confirmed that he does not have a social media account, and he recently explained his reason for not joining the bandwagon.
During a press conference in Taiwan on April 28, he was asked by a fan as to why he's not on social media. The 37-year-old star explained he doesn't like taking selfies and that wherever he goes he prefers to look at the sights and scenery instead of taking photos of them, Soompi reported.
"Part of the reason why I don't use social media is that because it's to show people, some parts of it will not be genuine," he explained and added that he doesn't feel comfortable showing things off in such a packaged manner.
On the other hand, Gong Yoo also talked about his blockbuster film "Train to Busan." In the film, Seok Woo who is on the run to survive a zombie outbreak with his young daughter. At the event, the actor was asked which person he would like to take with him if ever a zombie apocalypse happened.
According to allkpop, Gong Yoo said that he would prefer to take his two cats instead of a person. He added that he would find it really scary if his cats turned into zombies after getting bitten.
The MC jokingly hinted that Gong Yoo's parents might be disappointed by his answer. In his defense, Gong Yoo said that the MC only asked for one person and it would be difficult to choose between his mother and father. "If one of them gets bitten, I think it would be better for them to remain together," the actor said.
Gong Yoo recently starred in the hit drama series "Goblin" together with Lee Dong Wok and Kim Go Eun.
