Park Bom seemingly suggested that she is returning to her YG family when she answered a fan's query about a potential solo album.
The former 2NE1 member took to her Twitter account to post a sexy photo of herself and captioned it, "I'm going back."
According to Allkpop, the vague statement was more than enough to raise the curiosity of the fans who are speculating that Park Bom was referring to her potential renewal with YG Entertainment.
When a fan asked if she is planning to release a solo album, the idol played it coy and answered, "I'm telling you, you should ask my producer YG [Entertainment] and Teddy oppa," referring to the head of YG's The Black Label.
The Black Label is an independent sub-label of YG Entertainment created under the leadership of Producer Teddy Park and Stony Skunk's Kush in 2015. The unit is a home for R&B singer Zion T.
Park Bom even confirmed that she is joining the sub-label when she replied to a Twitter post claiming that the idol will sign with The Black Label for her comeback. "Yes, I'm with [The] Black Label," she answered.
An affiliate of YG Entertainment, however denied that the former 2NE1 member is connected with their sub-label.
"There have been no contract changes since the expiration of Park Bom's contract with YG [Entertainment]. To our knowledge, there are no plans for her to sign with The Black Label," a network insider clarified as per Soompi.
The idol has yet to renew her ties with the label since her contract expired last November. Simultaneously, 2NE1 announced they were disbanding, while CL and Sandara Park immediately resigned to extend their stay with YG Entertainment.
The contradicting statements of Park Bom and YG Entertainment have left the fans puzzled and perplexed, while others are still hopeful that the former 2NE1 member will soon make her comeback with a solo album.
