"Guardians of the Galaxy 2" is reportedly loved by moviegoers. James Gunn's hit of 2014 blend together the signature humor and action into a film made for perfect viewing.
As per new report from Monkeys Fighting Robots, "Guardians of the Galaxy 2" is not a bad movie at all. It is adequate that if it will be ranked in all Marvel movies, it will perfectly fall in the middle of the list. It is perfectly enjoyable to sit through and watch, but it did not reportedly quite connect with the audience as much as the first one did. Probably because it does not have a substantial story. As per critics, it was just a character piece with no plot, compared to a hit television show.
According to Screen rant, the main setting of the story is as follows: Rocket stole batteries for an alien race called the Sovereign, who hired the Guardians of the Galaxy to protect it from an inter dimensional beast. For Rockets case, the Sovereign sentences the Guardians to death that made a rowdy chase in the galaxy where they crash landed on a planet that leads to Peter Quill's father, Ego, with his assistant, Mantis.
The problem with the movie's concept is that when the Guardians separated, there is no importance at all. There are beginning and a predictable reveal toward the end of the movie, but nothing occurs in between. With the lacking of the story or of any happenings, it's still enjoyable to watch. There are good things about it though. Seeing these sarcastic, mean-spirited characters work together and break through each other's tough exteriors, were the best moments in the film.
James Gunn was great too! Putting up a film with his excellent directorial skills and the amazing designs in alien worlds. It is truly indeed a beautiful, imaginative, and quirky looking film.
The bottom line is, "Guardians of the Galaxy 2" is a movie that is delightful to watch, and it did not come close to the level of its forgoer.
