An unknown fan hit Jin with a toy during BTS' "Wings" concert in the Philippines over the weekend. As a result, ARMYs from all over the world are infuriated after seeing the act caught on a fancam.
According to Koreaboo, the BTS member was approaching his fans when an object hit his head and completely caught him off guard. Jin even looked at the direction to where the toy came from before he headed backstage.
As expected, the viral video caught the attention of BTS fans who shared their mixed reactions on the matter. While there were a few of them who defended the unknown doer, most ARMYs deemed the act disrespectful and inappropriate.
"I'm sure that the fan who [threw] that stuff didn't mean it. I mean fans [don't] like [it] when their idol [gets] hurt. I bet she [feels] sorry for what she did," one netizen said.
This comment was countered by several fans who thought the person responsible has gone over the top by throwing something on the idol regardless of the intention.
"Intentional or not, the person literally threw something at Jin's head. Performing is a part of his job and for whatever they were thinking, they disrupted him while at work and harmed him, too," an ARMY said.
Although ARMYs had their different takes on the matter, the fandom community reminded the members to be mindful of their limitations especially during concert shows.
Meanwhile, BTS finally accepted the invitation to attend the 2017 Billboard Music Awards in Las Vegas on May 21. The upcoming event will mark their US red carpet debut as a group.
The seven-member band is also hopeful to be the first K-pop act to earn a recognition from the prestigious awarding ceremony where the most popular musicians are expected to be present.
Congratulations, BTS!
