Get ready for a big change in one of the most popular manga and anime in the world. Masashi Kishimoto is thinking about doing something drastic that would either enrage fans or set-up something bigger in the world of Naruto.
Death of Naruto
According to The Hyped Geek author of the extremely popular manga and anime "Naruto" and "Naruto Shippuden" is thinking about an extremely drastic change in the manga: killing off Uzumaki Naruto. Anyone familiar in anime and manga knows the name as its practically the most popular manga and anime series in the modern era. Its titular character's fate is currently under scrutiny and could face a fatal end.
The manga and the anime series has already ended as it shifts its focus on Naruto's son, Boruto. Because the character focus has shifted, Kishimoto has mulled over the idea that Naruto will eventually die.
However, Comic Book notes that in the interview, Kishimoto refers to "Naruto" as a manga and anime series as a story not on the character itself. This reference means that the author wants to move forward with Boruto's storyline by practically ending the previous narrative. Still, the idea of killing off its iconic character is a big gamble for the series.
Boruto Story without the Drag
Kishimoto no longer pens the current manga although he is still involved in the current manga's storyline. This means he could still influence how the characters live, die or simply interact.
The idea of killing off one of its main character in the previous manga could be a great platform for Boruto. The current storyline could often revert to Naruto rescuing his son simply because it's his responsibility as a father. Without him, Boruto could be pushed further.
On the other hand, he really doesn't have to be dead to assist his son. Just like the past manga, he could be just the Hokage who has to take care of his village and he will be there only to assist Boruto when the time comes.
