South Korean singer and actress Seohyun has opened up on how she thinks of the harsh comments thrown against regarding her new role in “Bad Thief, Good Thief” during the show’s press conference on May 12.
According to the 25-year-old star as quoted by Soompi: “I actually think there has to be criticism. I haven’t filmed many works as an actress, so I understand that there may be concerns. It’s completely reasonable.”
“I believe I will just have to show my sincerity as an actress as I become Kang So Ju [in ‘Bad Thief, Good Thief]. I feel more responsible because of it. I will work hard as Kang So Ju, so please watch us with love,” she added.
“Bad Thief, Good Thief” unfolds the story of thieves who managed to destroy a group of elite who secretly controls the country. In the drama series, Seohyun portrays the role of a tough investigator named Kang Soo. Joining her in the show are Hallyu stars Ji Hyun Woo, Kim Ji Hoon, and Lim Joo Eun Who plays the characters of Jang Dol Mok, prosecutor Han Jun Hee, and rich woman Yoon Hwa Young, All KPop reports.
Born as Seo Ju Hyun, the star made her entertainment debut in 2007 as the youngest member of the popular girl group Girls Generation alongside Taeyeon, Sunny, Tiffany, Hyoyeon, Yuri, Sooyoung and Yoona under the management of S.M. Entertainment. She pursued her career as a solo artist this year with her hit extended play titled “Don’t Say No”.
Seohyun also starred in several acting projects including “So I Married An Anti-fan”, “The Producers”, and “Ruby Ruby Love” and many more. In 2016, she won the “Special Acting Award” and “Actress in a Fantasy Drama” from the SBS Drama Awards.
