Fans are not happy with TWICE latest single "Signal." The song was recently released for their Spring comeback.
On May 15, the Korean girl group made their much awaited comeback with their new song "Signal." Produced by J.Y. Park, the song immediately reigned on various music charts and even achieved an all-kill.
However, despite the song's success, it receive many negative feedback from netizens. They have expressed their dismay through various online communities.
One commenter said, "Can't believe this song is #1 lol," Allkpop reported. While another one said, "The song just sucks."
Even TWICE fans are not happy with the song, saying, "I'm a fan but this song is disappointing. They should've just gotten a track from Black Eyed Pilseung." One even claimed that the group's song only became number one because of their popularity since the song's quality is "poorest out of the poor."
"On 'Happy Together,' Sana said their song sucks and I thought she was just saying that to be funny but it turned out to be true," one of the comments read. TWICE skills had also been attacked as one of the netizens pointed it out as a bigger issue.
Although the music video of the song has a cute and catchy hook, it was given a low rating of 2.5 on Melon out of 19,000 reviews. Meanwhile, the girls can be seen trying to get the attention of an alien with their super powers in the MV of "Signal," Soompi reported. The song also has an easy-to-follow dancing moves which is becoming the group's signature.
TWICE was formed by JYP Entertainment through their 2015 reality show "Sixteen." The group was composed of nine members namely: Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Momo, Sana, Jihyo, Mina, Dahyun, Chaeyoung, and Tzuyu.
In October 2015, they debuted as a K-pop group with their EP "The Story Begins."
