Leading Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez is set to make her small screen debut with celebrity dance reality show 'Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa.'
The Sri Lankan model turned actress will be the judge for the ninth season of popular Indian dance show along with filmmaker Karan Johar and Ganesh Hedge. The 30-year-old 'Housefull 3' actress recently took promo pictures for the show.
"Jackie looked stunning in a golden gown. The promo is her introduction to the Colors family as well as an announcement for her TV debut. It is expected to go on air in two weeks," a source told Mumbai Mirror newspaper. "She will soon leave for Miami to shoot for the next Bang Bang film with co-star Sidharth Malhotra so she wanted to wrap up the promo shoot before. The show is expected to go on air sometime in July."
There had been reports that another leading Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor was being considered for the show. Karan Johar, who has been judging the show for the last four seasons, reportedly suggested Kareena as a judge for the show. Actor Shahid Kapoor, who judged the last season, is likely to be replaced by 'Badlapur' actor Varun Dhawan.
Karishma Tanna, Nora Fetehi, Sonali Raut, Helly Shah, Mandana Karimi, Arjun Bijlani, Sidhanth Gupta, Siddharth Nigam, Shakti Arora, Ruhanika Dhawan, Spandan Chaturvedi, Gautam Gulati, Manish Raisinghan, Sanjeeda Shaikh and cricketers Chris Gayle and Dwayne Bravo are likely to be part of ninth season of the celebrity reality dance show.
