There have been rumors for about 20 years now that Taiwanese actress Shu Qi and Hong Kong actor Stephen Fung are dating. Despite the speculations, the two celebrities had not publicly confirmed or denied their relationship.
After 20 long years of dodging and ignoring rumors of them dating, Shu Qui finally decided to set the record straight. On Sunday, June 5, The Transporter actress, for the first time, shared a cute photo of her and Stephen on Facebook.
Apparently, Shu Qi and Stephen were spotted by the paparazzi spending some time by the sea. Instead of letting paparazzi break the news, she decided to take to her Facebook account to apparently announce their relationship.
The photo was accompanied with a playful caption which reads "Have a great day...... To the paparazzi, please choose nicer photo or edit it before sending it okay? Please understand the female star without makeup."
Upon sharing the photo, many fans of the couple congratulated them and expressed their best wishes.
Does her admission mean fans will be hearing wedding bells soon? In September last year, Shu Qi admitted that she had a pessimistic outlook on marriage. Since her mother got married and had her at a very young age, Shu Qi felt like being married is a waste of one's youth.
However, fans can still wish for a marriage between Shu Qi and Stephen as her views on marriage have changed as she has matured. Reflecting on this issue, she said, "I would go out to lunch with my friends and when their children come pick them up, I think, 'Wow, it would be great if I had a son this big right now.'"
