Former adult video icon Maria Ozawa has reportedly decided to stay in the Philippines "on a more permanent basis" due to business reasons.
According to the Inquirer, the ex-Japanese internet sensation is one of the eight partners behind the Singles Bar at Remington Hotel in Resorts World Manila in Pasay City.
"Business is doing great and I love working with the Resorts World team," Ozawa told Big Buzz at the swanky nightspot. "When we first met to discuss this project, we clicked instantly."
Described as the "gentleman's club," Ozawa said her new business is occupying most of her schedule, aside from doing TV stints and photoshoots. She also revealed that she helped in conceptualizing the bar, which can be vividly recognized by the framed red kimono on display adorning its entrance.
When asked why she chose the Philippines, Ozawa answered: "I love the humidity here. It's good for moisturizing the skin."
"And the people are so friendly. Everyone's always smiling," she added. Ozawa also revealed she has already acquired a condo.
Singles Bar is a part of Remington Hotel's chain of establishments including La Maison whiskey bar, the Jardin Garden Club, and the new House Manila nightclub.
Singles Bar charges a fixed hourly rate. This entitles clients to a musical entertainment at the lounge, drinks of choice, and company of attractive female hosts. These hosts are allegedly changed rotated every 15 minutes.
