Is it possible that the romance between Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza of the famed AlDub loveteam is just for show?
The latest rumors about the on-screen couple suggests that nothing romantic is going on between them in real life as the 24-year-old actor is only working with his co-host on the noontime show that made the AlDub duo famous.
Amid news linking the "Eat Bulaga" host and Patricia Tumulak, the latter has been the subject of a barrage of criticisms from AlDub fans, according to local tabloid Bandera.
One follower of the beauty queen-turned-host asked her on Twitter to speak up so that the negative comments that she has been getting from AlDub fans will finally stop.
"If I were you answer nyo nlng po ang issue between u and @aldenrichards02 para po matahimik na bashers, may peace of mind pa po kau and let god do d rest nlang (If I were you, just respond to the issue so that you will have peace of mind)," the fan wrote to Tumulak. "Syempre po kahit anong ignore nyo po ng issue andyan lang yan at nasasaktan kayo...sana po sagutin nyo na po and thank u and god bless u more (No matter how you ignore the issue, it will always be there and you will just get hurt, so better respond now)."
Tumulak soon replied denying the rumors. "Hindi po kami! Ang tanda ko na girl (We are not together. I'm too old already!" she wrote.
ITumulak admitted during an interview with Philippine Entertainment Portal that she is now distancing himself from the Kapuso Network's heartthrob to put an end to the speculations.
"Sabi ko talaga sa kanya, 'Huwag na tayong mag-usap kahit walang malisya (I told him that we must already stop talking to each other to avoid malice)," Tumulak claims to have told Alden Richards of the AlDub tandem.
