Elroy Cheo, Taiwanese singer Elva Hsiao's ex-boyfriend, was recently rumored to be dating Yumi Bai, one-half of the Mandopop duo, By2. Now, he has spoken up to clear the rumors once and for all.
Elroy, who is the brother of Singaporean heiress Arissa Cheo, was said to be hooking up with Yumi after she posted a photo of them on a night out. In the photo, the two appear to be extremely close, with Yumi leaning comfortably on Elroy.
However, Elroy has slammed the rumors that he is dating Yumi and said that they coincidentally bumped into each other. He said the picture was taken at a mutual friend's birthday party.
Elroy said felt the need to speak up. "I know that she had some rumors earlier. To prevent any misunderstanding, I have already asked her not to post the photo, but she still posted it," he said.
Yumi shared the photo on Monday, June 6 and just hours after she uploaded the photo on her Instagram account, she took it down.
Controversy seems to follow Yumi everywhere. In December last year, she caused a stir when news broke that she got dumped by business magnate Stanley Ho's son, Mario Ho.
There were rumors that Mario broke off their relationship because she cheated on him with Chinese celebrity Sun Zujun. Yumi and Sun allegedly went to a club and asked Mario's chauffer to pick them up.
However, Yumi has denied that she cheated and insisted that they ended their relationship simply due to work commitments.
