South Korean boy band EXO has set a record for pre-order sales for their third studio album entitled EX'ACT.
According to Soompi, fans have secure 660,180 copies of the upcoming album. This is the highest preorder sales for any of their albums so far. Out of the pre--ordered albums, 442,980 orders are for the Korean version, while 217,920 are for the Chinese version. The pre-orders are expected to hit the one million mark.
Meanwhile, during a broadcast on V Live+ on Monday, EXO's Suho admitted that he is worried about how the public will welcome his group's upcoming album.
"I'm always afraid everytime we make a comeback," he said. "I know there are fans who believe in us and patiently wait for us, but as singers and performers, we feel like we should show something new and different."
EXO fans can expect more extreme concepts and two title tracks, namely, Monster and Lucky One, for their comeback album. Suho revealed that "if it's too different, then people might criticize us and say, 'This isn't EXO's style.' ... If we keep on releasing similar [music], then people might think we're just doing the same thing over and over again."
EXO's third full-length album is set to make its debut on Thursday, June 9 at 12 a.m. KST. The band will also make their first come back on the same day through M! Countdown. They will also appear on Music Bank, Music Core, and Inkigayo.
