One of the many celebrities confirmed to attend the Red Deer Comic and Entertainment Expo this coming weekend is Chinese-American actress Chloe Bennet of "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D."
This expo will be the first annual expo by Brasco Exhibitions held at Westerner Park in Red Deer on June 11 and 12. About 125,000 square feet will be filled up with nearly 200 different vendors from the United States and across Canada. Celebrity panels will be featured in the expo. Avid fans will get to see their favorite celebs in person and learn more about them in the panel in question and answer sessions. There will also be industry workshops that focus on various aspects of movie and television production.
Many may not know that Bennet pursued a singing career when she was 15 in China as Chloe Wang. She changed her name to Chloe Bennet when pursuing an acting career in Hollywood. Together with her, Morena Baccarin of "Deadpool," will be at the expo on Saturday. Kane Hodder, Helena Mattsson, Michael Berryman, and Nicole Marie are scheduled to make an appearance both on Saturday and Sunday.
Chief Executive Officer Ben Marasco of Brasco Exhibitions has encouraged the fans that to get the most out of the expo, it is necessary to get a two-day pass as there are many things to see in the two-day event. There will also be a kids' zone, costume contest, and a Super Smash Bros. tournament in the video games area. Available tickets online will start at the price of $25 for a day pass and $29 for a weekend pass. Tickets will cost $9 for children.
