Celebrity couple Angelababy and her husband Huang Xiaoming have been recognized among the most charitable people in China.
The popular couple has gained worldwide attention and were severely criticized after their $30 million wedding in May 2015.
The couple was ranked number 87 in the 2016 Huron Charity Chart, which lists the 100 most charitable individuals in the mainland. Angelababy and Huang donated an estimated $2.5 million in the past year.
Angelababy also gained the distinction of being the youngest member on the list at 27 years old.
Both Angelababy and Huang are known philanthropists, donating to multiple causes and charitable institutions. Huang established a charity organization under his wife's name shortly after their wedding and called it the Guanai Baobei.
The couple donated a lot to assist 527 deaf children and helped the young and the elderly in Huang's hometown of Qingdao in 2015. They also donated a $150,000 to help the victims of the 2016 Tainan earthquake and assist in post-earthquake relief.
Angelababy, whose real life name is Angela Wing Yeung, is a singer, actress, and model. She started modeling at 14 years old and has starred in numerous films and TV shows. Xiaoming is also an actor who is popularly known for his role as Yang Guo in The Return of the Condor Heroes. He is also a successful entrepreneur and is known to have a lot of business interests throughout China.
