Japanese fast-fashion maker Uniqlo and British designer Hana Tajima are set to release their third collaboration, a continuation of their LifeWear concept, later this month.
Pieces to be expected in the Uniqlo x Hana Tajima Autumn Winter 2016 collection includes loose fit tops, wide leg pants, chic blazers, turtleneck tops, and hijabs in plain and ombre shades. The collection of the popular blogger also includes items made with Airism, which is a trademark high-performance fabric from Uniqlo, Nikkei Asian Review reported.
In anticipation of the upcoming winter season in Japan, some designs were specifically tailored to accommodate the Japanese market. Clothes such as thin but warm fleece tops are to be expected. Price tags are between $4.69 and $46.81.
In Malaysia, the collaboration is scheduled to be out on June 17 nationwide, according to Elle Malaysia. It will feature Malaysian actress Elfira Loy as the new brand ambassador.
The Tajima collection is also set to be released in China, Australia, Hong Kong, South Korea, and Taiwan.
Tadashi Yanai, chairman and president of Uniqlo, said that he hopes to inspire new trends with traditional fashion. He also revealed that Uniqlo is hoping to collaborate with more talented and skilled designers from around the world.
"We aim to provide the best clothes in the world by leveraging our global network, as well as our capability to plan, make and sell products," Yanai said.
Meanwhile, Uniqlo has released an official video online to guide non-Muslim customers about how to wear some of the clothes.
