The sexual assault charges against JYJ's Park Yoo-chun continues to increase as two more women have come forwards saying that the actor/singer also raped them.
There is now a total of four alleged victims. KPop Herald reported that police officials received the third and fourth complainants last week. One of the complainants said that Yoochun raped her in the bathroom of a karaoke establishment in February last year. The other woman claimed that she was raped by the singer in the bathroom of his home in June 2014.
These new accusations come days after a woman in her 20s, and her boyfriend filed a police report saying that Yoochun sexually assaulted her in the bathroom of the bar where she works. The complainant submitted her clothes and underwear she used during the supposed assault for evidence. However, she dropped the charges later saying that there was no coercion during her sexual intercourse with Yoochun.
Officials have, however, decided to continue investigating the allegations. If he is found guilty, Yoochun could still face criminal charges even if the complaint has been dropped. Officials have also noted that the complainants could face punishment if their allegations are to be found false.
The second woman who accused Yoochun of sexual assault came forward a few days after the first complainant retracted her statement. The second woman told officials that Yoochun assaulted her on June 12 in a bathroom at a bar in Gangnam where she worked. The story of the second woman is strikingly similar to that of the first complainant.
Yoochun's agency, C-Jes Entertainment, continues to deny the claims against the singer, saying that they are true. C-Jes Entertainment has also said that it will be taking legal action against the individuals for defamation and libel, the Bitbag reported.
"We plan to file a complaint on Monday of blackmail and false accusations in regards to the first [sexual assault] allegation, of which the facts have been determined, to the Gangnam Police. As soon as the facts have been determined for the second case, we plan to also strongly respond. We plan to actively cooperate with the police investigation to prove Park Yoochun's innocence and for the rehabilitation of his image," C-Jes Entertainment stated.
