The critically acclaimed The Handmaiden from prominent filmmaker Park Chan-wook dropped to the fourth spot. It recorded $2.1 million from Friday to Sunday. Over the span of the three weekends, the film garnered a total of $26.3 million in the box office.
Warcraft, which was at the number two spot last week, slipped to the fifth position and posted a weekly decline of about 65 percent. Between Friday and Sunday, the film earned $2.1 million. After three weekends, Warcraft earned a total of $26.3 million.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out Of The Shadow earned a somewhat minimal opening record with $1.28 million between Thursday and Sunday. The film, which is a joint production of Lotte Entertainment and Paramount, debuted at the sixth spot on the box office list.
Romantic-drama film Me Before You scored $4.57 million over its three weeks' stay on the box office chart, essentially securing the seventh spot this week.
