The manager of an EXO fan site is currently under fire after insulting other K-pop idols and criticizing their looks.

The manager, who maintains one of the biggest fan sites of the popular group, posted a statement online insulting about the other K-pop stars. This sparked outrage among netizens, according to Korea Boo.

The manager has since apologized for the post. Nonetheless, his comments have gone viral and sparked a debate online.  Some netizens have expressed disgust at his behavior, saying that that his statement was outright rude and inappropriate. Some EXO fans have also expressed disappointment and questioned fan site manager's intentions in posting the statement online.

On Sunday, June 19, the fan site manager wrote online that artists such as Ravi, Jun, Wonwoo, Rap Monster, Jang Dongwoo, and Woozi have "crushed faces," implying that these K-pop idols are not good looking.

Fans have expressed concern about the statement as the EXO fan site that the unidentified manager handles is very popular and has up to 100,000 followers. A post on the site could easily generate 10,000 views.

While the site has been closed since the controversy erupted, a screenshot of the manager's statements have been saved and is making rounds online.

EXO is an all-male group formed by S.M. Entertainment in the year 2011. The group is currently enjoying the spotlight after the release of their new album EX'AACT. The album has proved to be a fan-favorite, generating domestic sales surpassing 660,000 which makes it the most pre-ordered K-pop album of all time.

EXO was recently ranked by Forbes Korea among the most powerful celebrities in the country.
