The new hosts for the show Inkigayo have been unveiled and they are actress Gong Seung-yeon, TWICE's Jungyeon and actor Kim Min-suk.
According to KPop Herald, the three will be the new MCs of the music program. Inkigayo is a South Korean music program broadcast by SBS. It is aired live every Sunday at 3:40 KST and features performances from the latest and most popular artists in the country.
An SBS official confirmed the appointment of the new hosts in a statement released on Wednesday. The trio can be seen hosting the show starting July 3. Gong and Jungyeon are sisters, and Kim is a newbie in the entertainment industry. Kim is a rising star and is best known for his supporting role in the hit South Korean drama Descendants of the Sun.
Gong and Jungyeon have been doing their thing in their respective careers, and this is one of the rare times that they will be sharing the same stage.
On June 19, the SBS music show was hosted by BTS members j-hope and V. In May, BTS members Rao Monster and Jin also paired up and appeared as special MCs.
The latest episode of Inkigayo was full of energy and fun as many top stars performed. The special MCs were EXO's Baekhyun and Sehun and EXID's Hani and Junghwa. During that episode, EXO performed Lucky One and Monster. U-Kiss also performed Stalker and 2AM's Jinwoon debuted a solo track called Will.
