A fan site of actress Kim Min-hee has released a statement amid demands of refund from fans who have been outraged by the recent revelations that the popular actress is having an affair with director Hong Sang-soo.
According to Soompi, ,any of Kim's fans had supported a fund raising campaign to raise money to purchase a present for the actress. The money raised was reportedly around 5 million won (roughly $4,300).
However, due to the recent scandal linking the actress with Hong, some of her fans who donated to buy Kim a present are reportedly demanding a refund.
Because of the demands, DC Inside's gallery for Kim Min-hee has issued a statement notifying fans that the plan to purchase a present for Kim will temporarily be stopped. It also stated that refund discussions will be tackled as soon as there is a lull in the gallery. The statement also contained an appeal to fans to be patient.
The fan site has been swamped with negative comments about the actress and criticisms regarding the affair. Some critics have lamented Hong's wife revelation that the director is not providing financial support for his daughter because he is supporting the actress.
In a recent interview, Hong's wife revealed that the director has told her that he will be unable to continue providing for their daughter since he is providing for Kim, who is having financial difficulty because she is unable to secure commercial and film offers due to the scandal about their relationship.
Neither Kim Min-hee nor Hong Sang-soo has issued a statement regarding their relationship.
