SBS has released some behind-the-scenes pictures of Park Shin-hye and Kim Rae-won while filming their recent TV drama "Doctors." The pictures of the bicycle riding scene in the TV series has gone viral online.
The first episode of "Doctors" was aired on June 20. The TV series has been received positively by the audience. Its success has even been compared to that of "Descendants of the Sun." Nielson Korea, a local data researcher, said that the first episode garnered 12.9 percent in viewer ratings worldwide.
During a press conference for "Doctors" on June 15, Director Oh Chung-hwan talked about his inspiration and the essence of the TV series. He said that he wanted to create a story about people helping each other grow into better versions of themselves. The hospital was a perfect setting since it is where various situations occur that elicit raw human emotions, he explained.
Oh praised Park Shin-hye saying she was a real life representation of the lead character. He said that the actress is determined and is someone that adds to his inspiration. Her character had to do difficult scenes such as fighting and throwing punches, and she chose to film these scenes without a double, Oh revealed.
Park Shin-hye revealed that one of the reasons why she accepted the role was the chance to be Kim Rae-won's partner. She also found the script interesting.
Kim Rae-won, on the other hand, said that he has always wanted to play the role of a doctor. He admitted that one of the things he found difficult was that the script had a lot of cheesy lines.
As the story progresses, Park's and Kim's character will develop. Apparently, the chemistry between the two lead stars is also evident off-screen.
