Kanye Westy loves to shock people with his 'art' and he made sure that he topped his last stunt by releasing a very NFSW video for his latest single, 'Famous.'
The rapper debuted the video on Friday night at the Forum in Inglewood, California. The musical presentation, which included a party, sold out in 20 minutes on Ticketmaster and was also streamed live on the music platform, Tidal.
The scandalous video is said to be inspired by the 2008 Vincent Desiderio painting entitled 'Sleeping.' West literally strips 12 pop figures naked, the video even opens with a snippet of a naked Taylor Swift in bed with the audio from her MTV Video Music Awards speech playing in the background.
The 12 pop figures featured in the video include Swift, Former US President George Bush, Vogue editor in chief Anna Wintour, Donald Trump, Rihanna, Chris Brown, Kim Kardashian, Kim's ex-boyfriend Ray J, Kanye's ex-girlfriend Amber Rose, Caitlyn Jenner and Bill Cosby.
Last month, West spoke to Vanity Fair about creating the video, he explained "It's not in support or anti of any of the people featured in the video. It's a comment on fame. We were very careful about the shots and the shots that could have been seen as sexual were taken out of the final cut."
In the same interview, West also revealed that his wife, Kim Kardashian, gave the music video her stamp of approval. "I say a lot of lines in the song that other wives would not allow their husbands to say. But Kim also puts up photos that other husbands wouldn't let their wives put up on social media" West said. "One of the keys to happiness in our marriage is we're allowed to be ourselves. Our life is a walking performance art."
