For a couple of months now, Philippines' favorite couple Alden Richards and Maine Mendoza, mostly known as "AlDub" has conquered social media. A new video that will for sure go viral is the one from a Telco promo.
The fictional love team captured not just the attention of Filipinos, but even people from other countries who were amazed by the #AlDub tandem. The kooky Filipino Cinderella soap opera has been constantly trending on Twitter as it was able to garner 41 million tweets from its AlDub charity concert. Endorsement deals and movie projects are also lining up for the couple.
The success of Alden and Maine on its "Kalye Serye" [Street Series] segment on "Eat Bulaga" also contributes to Maine Mendoza's popularity and fanbase on Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube, according to Inquirer. She is also named the "Queen of Dubsmash" because of her popularity in mostly dubbing actress Kris Aquino.
In the couple's latest ad made by Talk 'N Text, Alden and Maine excitedly exchange texts as they prepare for a wedding. The two showed inexplicable joy into what looks like a preparation for their own wedding and continually exchange emojis and pictures to each other.
In one picture Alden posted, "So excited to be here!!!" While Maine replied "Sobrang [So] excited for today!!!"
As the wedding started, Alden eagerly stood in the aisle with the rest of the groomsmen while he looks at the bride with his dimples showing. The bride started to walk down the aisle and fans will wonder if it is really Maine walking.
