There has been a rumor that Descendants of the Sun's Song-Song couple will be doing another drama series together. Song Joong-ki told his fans that while there are no plans currently for another series, he hopes to be paired with Song Hye-kyo again on the screen.
According to The Bit Bag, Song Joong-ki wanted to appear in the second season of Descendants of the Sun, but could not because he already committed to star in Battleship Island. The production of Battleship Island has already started and will not be ending until fall.
Song's tour stop in Taipei, Taiwan this past weekend will be his last fan meeting until an undisclosed date.
Song Joong-ki's agency Blossom Entertainment said that if he were to start filming for another series, it would not be Descendants of the Sun. The current production has already confirmed that both lead actors - Song Joong-ki and Song Hye-kyo - will not be part of the cast. Nonetheless, Song told his fans during his fan meeting in Taipei that he and Song Hye-kyo will keep the fire burning.
The actress recently visited Song during his fan meeting in China where the audience thought the actor was going to confess his love for her. The Song-Song couple told their fans that they still see each other for dates. They, however, did not react to the rumors that they are only seeing each other for publicity.
Song Joong-ki also said that he hopes to work with the actress even in 30 years time as long as she is okay with it.
