Mike's character will be put on the edge on "Suits" Season 6. Series star Patrick J. Adams has previewed his character's prison storyline, revealing that Mike will be pushed to his breaking point.

"I think he's going to be tested more than ever in this season," Adams told TV Line.

Since Mike offered himself up to take a plea deal last season, the upcoming events will only intensify his current dilemma.

Adams said that "Suits" Season 6 will introduce new characters, new interactions and new relationships, while also warning that new threats will also play a major role.

These new threats in "Suits" Season 6 include Mike's prison counselor (Malcolm-Jamal Warner) and one of his inmates (Erik Palladino) who are both featured on the released sneak peek.

Meanwhile, on Donna and Harvey's orbit, fans should not get their hopes up on the duo's romantic storyline. According to series star Sarah Rafferty, the upcoming "Suits" Season 6 will focus on how the partners will revive the firm, following the aftermath of Season 5's major fallout.

"We're not going to dig too much into emotions between [Donna and Harvey]," Rafferty told TV Line.

This means that Jessica, Mike and Louis are really busy fixing things in Pearson-Specter-Litt that they will not allow relationship problems hinder them from reaching their goals to start over, Rafferty explained.

As "Suits" moves forward with an entirely different format, it will be an interesting run of events especially now that the writers have put up the prison setting.

Whether or not Mike can make use of his edge as a practicing lawyer is yet to be known; however, as long as he has Harvey and Rachel on his side, it is safe to assume that he will be just fine.

"Suits" Season 6 will return on Wednesday, July 13 at 10PM on USA Network.
