Bollywood director Subhash Kapoor has finally locked the star cast of the much-awaited sequel of "Jolly LLB."
The makers of "Jolly LLB 2" have signed Bollywood's leading actor Akshay Kumar and actress Huma Qureshi to play key roles in the sequel of the hit courtroom comedy drama. "Jolly LLB" will be Akshay and Huma's first movie together.
Ashkay Kumar recently confirmed that he will be playing the role of a lawyer in the sequel. "'Jolly LLB 2' is a nice script and I quite liked it. I really liked the directors' (Subhash Kapoor) work and I have never played a lawyer's role ever. It is something that I am going to enjoy," the "Housefull 3" actor said in a recent media interview, India TV news cited. It will be first time Akshay Kumar is playing a role of a lawyer.
Arshad Warsi, Saurakh Shukla, Boman Irani and Amrita Rao played key roles in the first installment, reported DNA India. However, Kapoor opted for a complete new star cast for "Jolly LLB 2". The sequel, which is expected to release in 2017, will also feature veteran actor Paresh Rawal in an important role.
Bollywood actress Huma Qureshi is known for her unconventional roles in Bollywood movies. She will be next seen opposite Malayalam star Mammootty in "White".
Akshay Kumar, who was last seen in third installment of 'Housefull' franchise, is currently busy with his upcoming Bollywood flick "Rustom." The trailer of "Rustom" has gone viral among the Indians fans. It got more than eight million views within five days of its release on YouTube.
