The third installment of "Percy Jackson" will not be happening, as CW confirms that they have agreed to turn it into a TV series on their network instead. A new actor will be playing Percy Jackson, as Logan Lerman will not be reprising his role.

The "Percy Jackson" franchise has been on hiatus for so long, and it turns out that negotiations were already happening during the interval. The writer of the book series Rick Riordan has already agreed to work with CW in transforming the film into a TV series, and even expressed his excitement. According to News Everyday, the writer told the production team that he did not want "Percy Jackson" TV adaptation to deviate from the elements of the book.

CW does not have a line-up of new casts yet for "Percy Jackson" TV series, but they are looking for someone who can pass for a 14-year-old boy. The production is said to offer a 10-year contract to the selected casts which may be renewed, depending if the Novelist decides to continue writing the story arcs, and how far the channel would want to produce it.

Meanwhile, Lerman, during an interview with MTV News, announced that his days playing the demi-god son of Poseidon in "Percey Jackson" franchise is officially over. He shared that being part of two installments was a great experience for him but he was ready to move on and take on bigger projects.

One such project is the recent film "Indignation" wherein Lerman was praised for his great performance. Following his stint in the "Percy Jackson" franchise, he also starred in "Three Musketeers" in the year 2011 and took on a notable role in the 2014 film "Noah."
