Margot Robbie brings DC Comic Character Harley Quinn to life in the upcoming movie "Suicide Squad. Harley Quinn used to be a gymnast, according to Robbie and said that she was also the sidekick of Joker played by Jared Leto. Even if the two are rather dysfunctional, Quinn remains devoted to him.
Robbie say that Harley Quinn's acrobatic skills proves to be very useful in battle. She is very flexible as it appears in the trailer that her gymnast movements such as hanging from the ceiling and suddenly appearing behind her enemies back can be an attack advantage. Her doll like villainess look shouts mischief and mayhem as the actress also confirms that she can be playfully destructive especially with her big hammer.
Harley Quinn was the accomplice who fought side by side with the famed Joker in the animated series of "Batman". Her debut appearance was that of trivial antihero in the series. She was only developed into a more notable villain because her intriguing character gained the interest of many readers.
Meanwhile, director David Ayer hints via Comic Book Resource that there will be a ragged love triangle in the movie. Apparently, Deadshot, played by Will Smith, is eyeing Joker's on-off girlfriend, so fans can already anticipate how the love story would likely turn out. He also shared how he wanted to portray Harley Quinn's attempt to break free from Joker and develop into an independent person. The director reveals that each character's journey revolves around liberating and finding themselves.
Marvel's "Suicide Squad" is set to premier on Aug. 5, 2016.
