"The Big Bang Theory" Season 10 production is likely to push through this year, despite the hefty salaries received or will be receiving by the three top casts of the show. Production for the comedy sitcom is expected to start on Aug. 10.
It is no secret that the three top casts, namely Jim Parsons (Sheldon Cooper), Johnny Galecki (Leonard Hofstadter) and Kaley Cuoco (Penny) are receiving at least a million dollars per episode, plus they also get to receive a percentage from the show's revenue.
There were earlier speculations that "The Big Bang Theory" show will end in Season 10, as executive producer Steve Molaro told THR a few months back that there is a possibility that "The Big Bang Theory" Season 10 may be the show's last. However, he also clarified that "The Big Bang Theory" may still continue for several more years.
"The Big Bang Theory" co-creator Chuck Lorre believes that the show will go on as long as the production crew and casts, as well as, the audiences loves it. He also said that he still has a lot stories for the characters to explore.
Based on a recent survey, every episode of "The Big Bang Theory" Season 9 was watched by more than 20 million people in the United States, and is the second most watched TV show among the adult market. With that said, it is highly unlikely that CBS will give up "The Big Bang Theory" series.
"The Big Bang Theory," which premiered its first season in September 2007, is centered on two male physicists, Cooper and Hofstadter as well as their two friends, Howard Wolowitz (played by Simon Helberg) and Raj Koothrappali (Kunal Nayyar). The female protagonist of the show is Penny, who first started as a waitress while waiting for acting career to take off.
The show has progressed and changed the characters for the better. Hofstadter and Wolowitz found the love of their life and married them. Cooper has a steady girlfriend, while the painfully shy Koothrappali managed to get two girlfriends.
The official release date of "The Big Bang Theory" Season 10 has yet to be announced.
