Many are awaiting the wedding date of "Divergent" lead star Theo James', following his proposal to fiancé Ruth Kearney. But the long hiatus to the announcement has led many to speculate the reason behind the delay. Rumors have been circling that his co-star, Shailene Woodley, is the reason why the actor is holding off the marriage.
It seems that James and Woodley's incredible on-screen chemistry is starting to make a different impression to their fans. But the actor and his fiancé denied the rumors and said that the actress had nothing to do with their cancelled plans.
It is, however, true that James is busy with his growing career as an actor and it might seem to be his priority at the moment. He already held off his plans to the wedding when he decided to finish "Allegiant," the third installment of the "Divergent" franchise, which followed with the production of "Underworld: Next Generation." Now he is in competition against Tom Hiddleston, Taylor Swift's rumored boyfriend, for the role of the next James Bond film.
Morning News USA reported that the previous actor who played the role, Daniel Craig, was personally chosen by the shows' producer, Barbara Brocolli. If she decides to choose James to take over the role, then Kearney would have to wait for the actor to wrap up his stint before he can focus on their wedding.
It all boils down to James having a hectic schedule. Kearney, according to Morning Ledger, has just signed to do a mini series with Netflix, making her busy as well. The couple shared that they have had countless challenges for the past seven years in their relationship and it has only made them stronger. They respected each others priorities and believed that tying the knot would just need the right timing.
