Jessy Mendiola recently admitted that popular actor and game show host Luis Manzano is courting her, and expressed her gratitude to the actor for defending her from Angel Locsin's fans.
Mendiola, who was silent about the status of their relationship before, made the admission at an interview in an FHM event, after being told that Manzano has admitted in a separate interview that they were going out.
According to Yahoo! Style, Mendiola shared that they started off as very good friends and stated that they became closer to each other after the unfortunate incident in the airport, wherein she had a confrontation with fellow Star Magic talent Enrique Gil.
Mendiola also stated that Manzano is the kind of person that she can open up to, and relates that she can talk about anything with him. She also attested to Manzano's kind heart and stated that he is a gentleman and anyone will be lucky to have him.
Asked when did Manzano started courting her, the actress, who recently topped the poll for FHM's 100 sexiest women, shared that it was probably around May this year. She, however, stated that it just happened and both of them do not have a clue as to how it actually started.
Mendiola also expressed her gratitude to the actor for defending her from Locsin's fans, Rappler reported. According to her, she is very thankful that Manzano cleared her from accusations made by some that she was the reason behind Locsin and Manzano's break-up. Mendiola further declared that she will never put herself in a position where she will ruin a relationship.
Mendiola also stated that people are making a big deal out of it, and said there is nothing big or spectacular about it as they are just two single people who are having fun and going out. Mendiola, however, declined to comment on Locsin's reaction, saying she has no place in doing so.
